Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share a bit of my perspective and appreciation for Spine.
I genuinely love the software, and what really excites me is using Spine as it’s intended: leveraging the actual tools, plugins, and runtime to get the most out of the program. Personally, I’m not a big fan of using Spine purely as an animation tool to export PNG sequences. In my experience, the real value comes from learning how to rig properly, use vertices thoughtfully, and stay mindful of technical budgets like how many bones you’re creating per rig and vert count.
When you pay attention to those details and really understand how the program works, you can achieve some amazing results. For me, one of the biggest highlights is navigating through animations and seeing how smoothly they blend in runtime, while still retaining full flexibility to animate and iterate as needed.
I also don’t believe you need to add a million verts everywhere to create something special. In many cases, less is more.
That’s ultimately what I hope comes through in my reel is how powerful and versatile Spine really is. I’ve been following the program since the Kickstarter days, and I’m genuinely passionate about what it can do.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my work, and I appreciate being part of this community.
