Hello everyone,

I've created a new spine animation that combines traditional 2D animation, vocals, music and sound effects. I've been experimenting with various different techniques to more fully blend traditional 2D animation techniques with Spine's fluid faux 3D high frame rate aesthetic. My training has been in hand drawn, pixel art and digital. This is my first attempt at really going all in on that. I hope it's well received! I've also made a twitter post about it. I am no good at social media but ya gotta start somewhere. https://twitter.com/makapixel/status/1610489068428853248

This animation was inspired by Mickey Mouse model sheets by Don Towsley from 1937. My favorite design! Everything you see here was made from scratch. Although the music was taken from youtube and is copyright free.

I have other poses and animations complete but they are just looping ones. I'll post those too if anyone is interested?

Oh and if you like my stuff and want to see more please follow, like, subscribe on my youtube, twitter, art station, etc. It would be really appreciated. I usually keep my art to myself and clients so it's new for me to showcase it in an effort to gain a following. Thank you!

Thanks for commenting and liking my work Misaki! It's really appreciated!

Anyway just dropping off some of the loops I've done for Mickey. Haven't had enough time to polish everything. There is a lot of annoying aspects that I would fix but I am moving onto a different character from another franchise for now and I'll post that one soon.

By the way sorry about the annoying watermark. I wouldn't usually use one but art theft and all that has gotten pretty rampant in the last few years.

Also If I post another completely different character should I make a new thread or should I rename this thread and make it a catch all for all my stuff?

AWESOME!! I love all of those looping animations. Those are easy to see where and how you gave the skeleton a 3D-like look, even more so than the first video you posted. I am very impressed!!

I think adding a watermark is definitely right! I saw that you are very thorough about watermarking your portfolio in this way, and I thought I should copy you.

Either way is fine! By the way, people on the Spine team, including myself, generally check threads with unread replies, even if they're not new threads. We take the greatest pleasure in seeing the animations our users made with Spine, so feel free to continue to post your animations 😃

Awesome work! Especially the transition from one head position to another!

Awesome work, this looks really great!! :cooldoge:

thank you for all the well wishes everyone. It means a lot to me. I'll have more spine stuff to show soon. I am currently working on the classic Sonic the Hedgehog for spine. I want to get a few animations strung together before I show it off.

Very cool! :cooldoge: Looking forward to seeing Sonic the Hedgehog animated with Spine! Loved to play it back in the day. :nerd:

I've made a bit of an update to my Mickey walk animation. I've added some extra outfits for different eras of Mickey using slots and I've composited it using After Effects which is actually a pretty good companion to Spine when it comes to presenting animations.

I have checked its Amazing keep up..

Thanks so much everyone! It means the world to me when people can actually see my work and it doesn't get flushed down the algorithm toilet (I jest lol)

By the way if any moderator or admin feels I have too many topics please feel free to combine them into 1. I'm not sure what's the best / fair approach.
